Even if the cars didn&#039;t look like geezer boxes (which they did), that name screams, &quot;Yesterday&#039;s Model.&quot; Yes, I know it was named for the founder, and yes I know they ran a &quot;not your father&#039;s Oldsmobile&quot; campaign in a last-gasp effort to entice a new generation, but at some point you just have to concede it was a crummy name for something that&#039;s supposed to be modern.</description>
