Tropicana to Revert to Older Packaging

Tropic-Ana, Mascot of Orange JuicePepsico will bring back Tropicana’s old package after an outcry. The news was reported on the British website Brand Republic.

The packaging was created by Arnell; it got early bad reviews on the trendy design website Under Consideration.

Here at BrandlandUSA, not only did we not like the new design, but we miss the presence of Tropic-Ana, the tropical girl who used to grace Tropicana’s packages and the famed Tropicana train that runs from Bradenton, Florida to the northeast.

So while we are happy that the old package is back (its the one with a straw poking into the orange), we still want Tropic-Ana back.

  1. Truth! First of all…Tropicana needs to return to the old Tropicana..using Coca Butter.
Second…You need to change the Plastic Bottle back to Glass…Because it loses it smell… and it smells like the Plastic Bottel…the longe it’s in the Plastic Bottel the stronger it smells like the Plastic.
Sorry if this up set you…but old is better than new…besides the old drew women to men that wore Tropicana Sunblocker with Coca Butter…with certain Colognes.
    This is true!

  2. this was a true head scratcher – the new packaging design felt generic and I felt lessened the equity of the brand. i’d love to see the evolution of this laid out
