Gray Line Goes Rachel Ray

May 4th, 2010 · No Comments

By Garland Pollard

NEW YORK – Gray Line New York, that icon of bus tours, today began a “Ride of Fame” where the cook and TV personality Rachel Ray was honored by her own bus. The ribbon cutting was held in front of her studio at 222 East 44th St. Since 1926, Gray Line New York is the source for NYC’s best double-decker bus and deluxe motorcoach tours.

Gray Line itself was founded in 1910 in Washington, D.C. The company is now worldwide, with members like Grey Line New York operating separate companies under the same Gray Line flag. Grey Line has been a pioneer in themed tourism; it was Gray Line buses that helped turn Universal Studios into a tourist attraction in Hollywood. Today, there are over 120 Gray Line themed tour companies.

This company operates the signature deluxe double-decker, hop-on, hop-off bus tours that include Uptown, Downtown, Brooklyn and Night loops, as well as fully escorted foreign language motorcoach city tours in German, French, Spanish and Italian.  Gray Line New York’s one-day excursions to Niagara Falls, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Woodbury Common premium shopping outlet mall are visitors’ favorites too.
