<description>Thanks for the story. Here&#039;s the follow-up story.
MEDIA ALERT Contact: Jeanine Horowitz

Office: (310) 402-4889

Brentwood: All Races Welcome
LOS ANGELES - Solutions Christian Church International is facing racial and religious
discrimination by the YMCA in the affluent city of Brentwood, California; however, the
Brentwood community is showing their growing support for the church. The church, only steps
from the infamous OJ Simpson murder scene, organized a national battle cry that aired on ABC,
CBS, and KCAL news. The Brentwood community has responded significantly and
astoundingly, now the church is becoming diverse. Local businesses from neighboring
communities from Beverly Hills, Westwood and Santa Monica have teamed up to help the
church. On Wednesday, July 28th 2010, at 7:30 pm, Chin Chin Restaurant (11740 West San
Vicente Blvd, Brentwood, CA 90049) will host a Community / Media Mixer. The church’s new
rock band will perform. Please RSVP to pastors@solutionschristianchurch.org .
The church’s Senior Pastor Jeanine Horowitz is an author and other authors: Michael
Ehren, a C.P.A. from Florida, and Glenn Jones, the Ohio State Public Defender, have contributed
support for the church with their books. All proceeds from selling the books are to help the
church meet the expenses of a new location in the area.

What would you do if you entered a church and were required to sign a liability waiver and
indemnity agreement seven paragraphs long?

That’s exactly what happened at Solutions Christian Church International. All members
and visitors who attend the church were required by the YMCA to sign a liability waiver and
indemnity agreement, which was not a part of the original written leasing agreement. Some
attendees refused to sign. Within 24 hours and without notice, the entire congregation was locked
out. Additionally, other community programs have leased the building over the years are not
required to sign such agreements. All the programs including Solutions Christian Church
International hold multi-million dollar insurance policies. The YMCA has over 20 million
American families that use their facilities however waivers are not required at other YMCA
facilities used by churches.
