Lemon Up at Vermont Country Store

When we started BrandlandUSA, we were sure that there were some brands that were so niche and strange that they could never be revived, even if there were a few odd people who wanted them. In particular, there were two shampoo brands that we thought would never be back. First, there was Body on Tap, the beer shampoo. The other shampoo brand that we thought would never return was Lemon Up.

Well, take a look at our good friends at the Vermont Country Store. They offer both Lemon Up and Body on Tap. Body on Tap was a product of Bristol Myers. Below is an ad comparing it to Flex and Vidal Sassoon. Oh, and if those weren’t your favorites from the 1970s, the store also sells Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific.

  1. I bought all of them.. also lustre cream.. wrote about it on my site 🙂

  2. Funny, I had been looking for it for years now, including several Internet searches. I ordered a bottle from Old Vermont Country Store last week, and can’t wait to smell it again. Pity the old lemon cap has gone…and it is quite expensive now, but ahhh… the memories!
