INTA’s 2009 In-House Trademark Counsel Workshop

NEW YORK – INTA, the International Trademark Association, is hosting the 2009 In-House Trademark Counsel Workshop on March 2, 2009 at the New York Marriott East Side.

INTA’s 2009 In-House Trademark Counsel Workshop is designed specifically for in-house professionals, and offers a unique opportunity to benchmark and share your plans for strengthening your brand in a marketplace where so many large corporations are in jeopardy. With the assistance of some of the world’s leading authorities in trademark law, find out how other trademark owners are protecting their brands and trademarks through proper strategic planning, use of best practices, past experiences and lessons learned along the way.

Topics that will be addressed in open discussion include, but are not limited to:

  • Advertising restrictions and the effect on trademarks
  • The pitfalls of governmental regulations, restrictions on media outlets and the risks associated with the latest marketing trends
  • Intellectual property issues in China
  • Marketing and sponsorship challenges, new domain names, coalition building and more
  • Budget and cost controls
  • How budget restraints are allowing for the use of more creative, outside-the-box strategies
  • Internet best practices
  • Online solutions your peers are implementing to allow for increased revenue generation
  • Strategies for prioritizing and managing your work, defining responsibilities and managing client expectations, and selecting outside counsel

Enrollment is limited to 100 INTA corporate members and non-members. The US $ 300 registration fee includes access to all educational sessions, a copy of the attendee list, cocktail reception, continental breakfast, luncheon and refreshment breaks.
