Telegrams Return, Now Two Options for Vintage Sending

Telegram from TelegramstopFirst vinyl records make a comeback, and then telegrams?

The website Telegramstop will let you write a telegram online, and send it anywhere, for just a few bucks, $4.70 actually.

The company is unrelated to the current Western Union, which is a worldwide service that sends money, and is ubiquitous in grocery and money stores in the U.S.

Western Union, the inventor of the telegram, has long been out of the telegram business. Western Union’s telecommunications network circuits were sold off in the 1980s to MCI. The telegram service is now run by International Telegram, available at iTelegram.com. Customers can place telegrams using the iTelegram web site or through a phone operator.
