Bell’s Olives of California

We love Bell’s Olives. The Original. The Bell brand dates from 1930, headquartered in Corning, California. But parent company Bell-Carter Foods Inc. dates from 1912, when Arthur and Henry Bell bought an olive grove in Reedly, California.

They later bought Maywood, Lindsay and Alberti olive companies, and are the nation’s largest, and the second largest in the world.

Here’s to California olives.

  1. I WOULD LIKE TO DETERMINE THE USE DATE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAN.

  2. My Papa and Grama ran the Bell Olive Ranch in Reedley, actually it was located half way between Reedley and Orange Cove. Some of my fondest memories are when we went to the ranch! I remember a tourquoise Thunderbird hard top with port hole widows, I think it was a 1956 model, Virginia Bell had given it to my Papa.

    There names were Roger and Ruby Osborn
