The F.W. Woolworth Company was one of the great icons of United States retailing prowess. While the brand no longer survives in the United States, it has been reborn in the United Kingdom.
Interestingly, the successor company to Woolworth, Foot Locker (NYSE: FL), is still around and based in New York.
