The companies expect to begin selling the Cummins-branded products in the first quarter of 2022. According to Michael Abel, President and CEO of DAS, the deal will provide both companies the opportunity to leverage the wide assortment of licenses to reach broader audiences together. Cummins Inc., established in 1919, is best known for the diesel engine, and is involved in designing, manufacturing, distributing, and servicing engines including diesel, natural gas, hybrid, electric, and other alternative solutions headquartered in Columbus, Indiana.
  • The University of North Carolina and The Brandr Group have launched a group licensing program for current NCAA student-athletes. The initiative extends new opportunities for Chapel Hil student athletes to profit from using their name, image and likeness, using as a parallel the University of North Carolina’s Alumni Group Rights program, which launched in April. This new program invites all of UNC’s current student-athletes to join a voluntary group licensing program, which will allow them to benefit from their NIL in conjunction with UNC’s official trademarks and logos.
  • Sotheby’s International Realty will license its name in the Caribbean with the opening of St. Kitts & Nevis Sotheby’s International Realty. The addition signifies the brand’s continued growth in the region, bringing its total number of Caribbean offices to nearly 30. St. Kitts & Nevis Sotheby’s International Realty is owned and operated by Neil Paine.
