LEBANON, Tenn. – Cracker Barrel Old Country Store today launched its first Cracker Barrel Kitchen delivery service in Hollywood, Calif. The restaurant takeout will offer Cracker Barrel meals with delivery services DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Cracker Barrel’s Los Angeles ghost kitchen will also serve its existing virtual brand Chicken ‘n Biscuits by Cracker Barrel and its newest virtual brand The Pancake Kitchen by Cracker Barrel.
Established in 1969 in Lebanon, Tenn., the company operates more than 660 company-owned Cracker Barrel Old Country Store locations in 45 states, and owns breakfast and lunch focused fast-casual Maple Street Biscuit Company.
In other restaurant brand news:
- The pizza franchise Piola USA, with nine locations in the Miami area and Texas, will open a new store in Miami Beach. Piola USA was founded in 1986 in the U.S. by brothers Stefano Carniato and Dante Carniato.
- The Chi-Chi’s restaurants are gone, but the restaurant brand name continues on with new products, including a just released Street Taco Style Tortillas. The brand is part of MegaMex Foods, which also sells Wholly, La Victoria, Herdez, Embasa, Dona Maria, Bufalo and Don Miguel Brands. Headquartered in Orange, California, the comnpany was founded by Herdez del Fuerte and Hormel Foods.
- With the recent opening of a Chicken Salad Chick in Roanoke, Va. the Atlanta-based chain continues a slew of openings. Founded in Auburn, Alabama by Stacy and Kevin Brown in 2008, Chicken Salad Chick has grown to more than 200 restaurants in 17 states.
